Directions

Apply and rinse off with warm water - morning and evening. Complete with AHAVA Mineral Toning Water and follow with appropriate AHAVA Eye Care and Day Moisturiser or Replenisher/Night Cream.

There's cleansing milk, and then there's cleansing milk from the land of milk and honey. This Ahava skin cleanser is a wonderful way to clean your face, without drying soap, and without the expense of some cosmetic cleansers. I love this.

I usually use Decleor Cleansing Milk because it suits my very sensitive skin perfectly, so when I was given a bottle of Ahava Cleansing Milk I was loathe to change my thus far successful relationship with Decleor. Needs must however, and I ran out of my usual cleansing milk so decided to get the Ahava bottle and use that instead of going all the way into town to buy an overpriced bottle of the other.

This milk is suitable for normal to dry skin and the bottle proclaims it to be hypoallergenic. This is good news for me as I react badly to certain items and definitely find hypoallergenic products to be a safer bet, and this is also approved for sensitive skin which also increases my confidence in it.

This Cleansing Milk has the milky consistency you would expect only it feels slightly creamier to the touch than other milks I have used. It feels cool and refreshing wiping it across my face, it clings well to the cotton wool ball and this makes it spread smoothly across my skin. I apply the milk with dry cotton wool balls and then immediately wipe it off with fresh balls, it goes on beautifully and also wipes off easily leaving no residue on my skin.

Afterwards my skin feels like it has had the deep cleanse that the bottle claimed, my face feels soft and beautifully clean. It actually feels like my skin is glowing with cleanliness and I quickly realised I would rate this as better than my beloved Decleor Cleansing Milk. It is a kind and gentle cleanser, feels luxurious in use and smells fantastic.

I was surprised to find this was perfumed as I had been expecting a bland smelling milk, but this has a delicate floral aroma which puts me in mind of Johnsons Baby Powder. The perfume did not irritate my skin at all and exuded a smell of cleanliness which I could detect for a few hours after I had used the milk.

I had no reaction to using this cleansing milk, quite the opposite in fact as using Ahava seems to have added a touch of hydration into my usually very dry skin. Some cleansing milks seem to suck the moisture out of my skin, leaving it dry and powdery, but this one moisturises as it cleanses and a month on has left my skin looking healthy and well nourished.

I'm afraid my love affair with Decleor Cleansing Milk is over, Ahava is my new must have bathroom product. It takes something special for me to chop and change when it comes to my facial skin care, and Ahava has proved itself to be special.

This Cleansing Milk product is so good, it makes your face feel like silk and prepares you for the rest of the day, or night, whichever you prefer. It is the best start to a cleansing regimen that you could possibly use.
